darts up and down the trunk of the mighty ash. Ratatosk is his name, and
he is a messenger between the worlds. He talks to everyone ranging from
the nordic gods called Aesirs in the top to the Maidens of Fate ("ödesdiserna") Urd,
Skuld and Verdandi in Helheim, and he moves freely from fire to ice and
everything inbetween. Ratatosk is also a troublemaker and a tell-tale who
loves to create conflict especially between the snake Nidhög at the
root of Yggdrasil and the eagle sitting on top of the gigantic ash that
comprised our forefathers perception of the world.
